Tikhur is a fine white starch drawn from the roots of a wild turmeric plant that grows in the forests of Chhattisgarh. Tikhur sharbat is a much-loved drink across the state. This instant mix makes it easy at home.
The work behind it
- Tikhur roots are dug, washed and grated
- The pulp is soaked in water and the starch settles
- The starch is washed again and sun-dried
- It is blended into an instant sharbat mix and packed in Jagdalpur
